1.Opening a bank account, exchanging or withdrawing money

1. Opening an account: After arriving at the university,international undergraduate, graduate or language students should take their passport and entrance letter to the Zhanggong branch of Agricultural Bank of China to set up an account.

   Address: No.11, Wenqing Road, Zhanggong district, Ganzhou city, Jiangxi Province.

2. Exchanging money: Zhanggong branch of Agricultural Bank of China.Address: No.11, Wenqing Road, Zhanggong district, Ganzhou city, Jiangxi Province.

3. Withdraw money: The first floor of the East canteen building has a Bank of China ATM where money can be withdrawn.

   2.Shopping

   Supermarkets can be found in the following places:the first floor of the canteen building , the downstairs of the No.18 dormitory.

   3.Going to the hospital

   You must bring your passport when going to the hospital. For most situations the campus hospital can sufficient for your needs. If the matter is more serious, you can go to a larger hospital such as the Ganzhou People’s Hospital(No.17,Hongqi Avenue, Zhanggong district, Ganzhou City),the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University(No.23,Qingnian Road, Ganzhou City).

   International students must purchase comprehensive insurance, which is used to pay for medical fees in the case of an accident.

   The campus hospital emergency’s phone number is 0797-8312600. For more serious situations,you can also directly call the public emergency’s phone number which is 120.

   4.Photography Shops(for getting passport type photos taken.)

   You can take photo in the photocopy and print shops in the campus.

5. Public bus:There are bus station in the diagonally opposite to the East gate of Sanjiang campus. Take line No.D5 can directly go to the Hongqi campus of JXUSC,RT-MART. Take line No.D10 can go to the railway station, Wanda Plaza.

6. Traveling by bicycle in the city is safe and convenient. You can buy a bicycle at almost any shopping plaza.

   6.I have an international driving licensesocan I ride a motorcycle in China?

   This is not possible. Only after receiving the “motorcycle license of the People’s Republic of China”,it is possible to ride a motorcycle in mainland China.Driving without the license is illegal. If foreigners have traffic accident in China, it shall be handled by Chinese law.

   7.Sports Facilities

   Campus sports facilities include:swimming pool,running tracks, soccer fields, volleyball courts, badminton courts, and basketball courts etc.

   8.School Library

   The school library(information center) has a vast supply of resources such as an especially large supply of electronic periodicals and e-books. Further more, the library has many nice reading rooms that are favorable for studying, which are very popular among the students. Often during exam time it is difficult to find a seat in these places.
