December 1st is the thirty-fourth World AIDS Day. In order to conscientiously implement the nineteen spirit of the party and promote the general requirements for the construction of healthy China, we should further publicize the knowledge of AIDS prevention and control, and create a good social atmosphere for the smooth development of AIDS prevention and control. In the afternoon of November 30th , the theme publicity activity of "life first, ending AIDS and health equality" jointly organized by Ganzhou Center for Disease Control and prevention, Ganzhou Family Planning Association and Ganzhou Customs was held in the report hall of Sanshi building of Sanjiang campus.
Liao Chunfa, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Committee and vice president of our university, Xie Ying, director of Ganzhou AIDS prevention office and level-4 investigator of Ganzhou Health Commission, Qiu Linying, level-4 investigator of Ganzhou Family Planning Association, Cao Hongmin, secretary and director of the general Party branch of Ganzhou CDC, Huang Wenhua, deputy director of Ganzhou customs, Li Jianhua, deputy director of Ganzhou CDC, and relevant staffs,about 300 undergraduates, postgraduates and International students participated in this activity together.
Liao Chunfa extended a warm welcome to all the leading teachers and students participating in this activity. He hopes that this activity can effectively promote the school health publicity and education, and create a healthy, civilized, harmonious and loving campus environment.
Xie Ying introduced the origin and development of AIDS, and explained the basic structure and transmission form of this virus from a scientific point of view, as well as AIDS treatment methods.
A Knowledge Q & a session was set up on site. The students of university advocated everyone to know and prevent AIDS through cheerleading performance, song and dance, reading and other forms.
After the activity, the students left their names on the "anti AIDS signature wall", indicating that they will love and care for AIDS patients in the future.
