From 13 to 17 September, 10 international students from JXUST, led by two teachers from the School of International Education, attended the 2021 Northeast Asia Youth Sustainable Development Study Camp. This camp is organised by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and SK Group, and hosted by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and the Jiangxi People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Its theme of “ Better yourself, Better World”.

Opening Ceremony

With the topic of "Green, Low Carbon, Sustainable Development", this year's Northeast Asia Youth Sustainable Development Study Camp spent five days in Fuzhou and Ganzhou city, Jiangxi Province, where they visited the Huachen Agricultural and Vegetable Technology Industrial Park and Donghu Village in Fuzhou City. They did talks and exchanges with local villagers, and enjoyed the live-action drama performance "Dreaming of Peony Pavilion", and gained a deep appreciation of Jiangxi Province's profound cultural and historical heritage, glorious revolutionary traditions and achievements in poverty alleviation and rural revitalisation.

Furthermore, the campers, in Yudu County, visited the Ping Shan Ranch, the Memorial Park of the Central Red Army Long March Departure Site, the Hefeng Orchid Town, the Yudu Selenium Museum and the Tan Tou Community in Zishan Town.

Not only I gained a more comprehensive understanding of the story of the Red Revolution, but also witnessed the China's rural development.
